When Wintec Industries began developing their own line of branded over-clocked memory they looked to Ray Huang, Principal Consultant at Wingman Marketing Communications, for their complete branding solution.
The over-clocked memory's target demographic was gaming enthusiasts and advanced computer users who demanded cutting-edge speeds and technologies. It was critical to find a name that would suit the product and strike a note with the target demographic. Ray coined the original product name, "AMP - Advanced Memory Products." The word ‘Amp’ suited the product to a ‘T’ as it would amplify the computing and gaming experience.
